Jumps and Dressage Arena Rentals 

Show season is just around the corner.  Although York Jumps has a large inventory of jumps for rent, our supply is not unlimited. Reservations are already being taken.  NOW IS THE TIME TO RESERVE YOUR JUMPS!


Did you know?  There are over 350 breeds of horses. They fall into 4 main categories;  light horses, weighing 1300 pounds or less, heavy horses, weighing up to 2000 pounds, ponies,14.2 hands and smaller and wild horses (ferals) .  Light horses includes Thoroughbreds, Morgans, Quarter Horses and Arabians.  Heavy horses include Percherons, Clydesdales and Drafts. Ponies include Halflingers, Shetlands and Caspians while Mustangs fall into the wild horse category. 

Did you know?   Horses generally live to be 20 - 25 years old and sometimes as old as 30 years.  The oldest recorded horse was "Old Billy" who was 62 years old.

Did you know?  Jumping is not a natural activity for horses and left to their own devices most will go around obstructions.

Did you know?  The world record for the highest obstacle cleared by a horse and rider was set on February 5, 1949 by Huaso and his rider, Captain Alberto Larraguibel. The Thoroughbred stallion and his Chilean rider cleared a fence measuring 2.47 meters (8 ft. 1¼ in.) high. This record has stood for 60 years.
